Ishara Sewwandi, the main suspect in the murder of Ganemulla Sanjeewa, has been arrested in Nepal along with four other suspects.
According to reports, the arrest was made following information revealed by organized crime gang leader Kehelbaddara Padme, who is currently being questioned under detention orders. A special operation was launched recently to apprehend Sewwandi, who had fled the country.
The operation was carried out by the Colombo Crimes Division (CCD) with the assistance of the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol).
