The Department of Meteorology has announced that favorable atmospheric conditions are expected to bring thundershowers this evening (04) across several parts of the island.
The public has been advised to take precautionary measures to minimize risks associated with possible heavy rainfall, strong winds, and severe lightning.
According to forecasts, showers or thundershowers may occur in many areas after 1:00 p.m., while certain locations in the North-Central, Eastern, Central, and Uva Provinces could experience rainfall exceeding 100mm.
