The Department of Meteorology has announced that from tomorrow (03), favorable atmospheric conditions are expected to bring thundershowers during the evening in many parts of the island.
The department further noted that apart from these showers, most areas of the country will generally experience fair weather conditions.
In addition, occasional strong winds with speeds of 30–40 km/h may occur in the western slopes of the Central Hills, as well as in the Northern, North-Central, North-Western, and Central Provinces, and in the Trincomalee and Hambantota districts.
