The suspected gunman involved in the killing of political activist Dan Priyasad has been arrested in the Ranwala area of Kegalle.
According to reports, three suspects, including a woman, were taken into custody last night (18).
During the arrest, police recovered 12,400 illegal cigarettes and several elephant tusks in the possession of the suspects.
The arrested individuals are residents of the Kegalle and Weli Oya areas. Police further stated that one of the suspects is a former member of the Sri Lanka Army, who had legally retired from service.
