The Colombo Magistrate’s Court has ordered the release on bail of Thushitha Halloluwa, a former Director of the National Lotteries Board, who had been held in remand custody.
Accordingly, Colombo Additional Magistrate Lahiru Silva ordered that the suspect be released on two surety bails of Rs. 5 million each.
The court further ordered a travel ban on the suspect and directed him to surrender his passport to the court.
Thushitha Halloluwa had been arrested and remanded in connection with a recent shooting incident in the Narahenpita area, where shots were fired at the vehicle he was travelling in.
