Former President of Brazil, Jair Bolsonaro, has been sentenced to 27 years and three months in prison.
The ruling was delivered after he was found guilty of plotting a military coup.
According to international media reports, the sentence was handed down by a five-judge panel of the Supreme Court, with a majority in agreement.
Bolsonaro was convicted of conspiring to remain in power following his defeat in the 2022 presidential election to his leftist rival, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.
