CEB Trade Union Action Continues for Second Day

Colombo – The work-to-rule campaign launched by employees of the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) in protest against the proposed division of the institution into four entities continued for the second consecutive day today (06).

Kosala Abeysinghe, President of the CEB Technical Engineers’ Union, stated that the first phase of the trade union action will remain in effect until midnight on the 15th of this month.

He further noted that no employee has agreed to the proposed voluntary retirement scheme.
