Muslims Worldwide Commemorate Birth Anniversary of Prophet Muhammad

Published:

Muslims across the world are today observing the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) with various religious programs.

The sacrifices made by the Prophet throughout his life for the sake of humanity are immeasurable. His core teachings centered on mutual understanding, brotherhood, compassion, and justice. His vision emphasized that human society must be enriched with virtue, kindness, and nonviolence.

Issuing a message to mark the occasion, President Anura Kumara Dissanayake stated that the Prophet’s example of eliminating inequality and division while instilling equality in human hearts serves as an eternal source of guidance in the effort to overcome social challenges and build a just, lawful, and morally upright nation.

Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya, in her message, noted that the teachings of Prophet Muhammad extended beyond religious boundaries, forming a universal framework of humanitarian values for the betterment of all mankind.

Meanwhile, Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa, in his message of greetings, emphasized that a society can truly prosper only when it is built on respect, compassion, and service towards one another, regardless of race, religion, caste, or status—principles highlighted by the Prophet.
