The Government Medical Officers’ Association says that an island-wide strike will commence in all government hospitals from 8.00 am tomorrow (25).
It is stated that this strike is being initiated considering the risk of hospitals in remote areas being closed, the direct impact of the government on patients purchasing scarce medicines, and the risk of the collapse of free healthcare through the failure to provide hospitals with quality medicines and equipment.
