The Department of Meteorology announces that light showers are possible in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and the Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle and Matara districts.
The department stated that the weather conditions in the rest of the island will be mainly rainless.
Moderately strong winds of about 30-40 kmph are possible at times in the western slopes of the central hills.
