U.S. President Donald Trump has announced that Israel and Hamas have signed the first phase of a peace agreement aimed at ending the conflict in Gaza.
According to President Trump, the agreement includes the immediate release of Israeli hostages held by Hamas and the gradual withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza under agreed conditions.
Reports also indicate that President Trump is scheduled to embark on a Middle East tour in the coming days as part of efforts to strengthen the newly initiated peace process.
