Portuguese football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has officially become the world’s first billionaire footballer.
According to the latest Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Ronaldo’s estimated net worth now stands at 1.4 billion US dollars.
The 40-year-old football icon achieved billionaire status as of June this year, with foreign media attributing his financial milestone largely to his record-breaking contract with Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr, reportedly valued at over 400 million US dollars.
