President Anura Kumara Dissanayake Begins Official Visit to Japan Today

President Anura Kumara Dissanayake is scheduled to commence his official visit to Japan today (27), following an invitation extended by the Government of Japan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced.

The visit, which will continue until the 30th of this month, will include a meeting with the Emperor of Japan, as well as bilateral discussions with the Japanese Prime Minister on a number of important matters of mutual interest.

During the visit, President Dissanayake is also expected to address a business forum in Tokyo, attended by leading Japanese corporate representatives and investors.

In addition, the President will participate in Expo 2025 Osaka as an invited guest of the Japanese Government, the Ministry further stated.
