The Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) announced that the Monetary Board has decided to maintain the current monetary policy stance without any changes, following its meeting held yesterday (23).
Accordingly, the Central Bank’s Standing Deposit Facility Rate (SDFR) will remain at 7.75 percent.
The decision was made after a careful assessment of both domestic and global economic trends.
The Monetary Board noted that the current policy stance is consistent with steering inflation towards the targeted level of 5 percent.
