All drivers operating public passenger transport services must obtain the new Public Transport (PT) License by 31 December, Minister of Transport Bimal Rathnayake has stated.
Speaking at a meeting held yesterday (20) in Ampara, the minister noted that all necessary regulations for this initiative have already been finalized.
Minister Rathnayake further emphasized that individuals who do not consider this profession seriously are not suitable for transporting passengers, and that public transport services must be operated by responsible and qualified personnel.
