The United National Party (UNP) will hold its 79th anniversary convention today (20) under the theme “Let’s Stand Together.”
The event is scheduled to take place at a private hotel in the Sri Jayewardenepura area and will be presided over by the party leader and former President, Ranil Wickremesinghe.
Invitations have also been extended to all opposition parties, including the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) and the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP).
Originally planned for September 6, the celebration was postponed due to the health condition of former President Wickremesinghe.
