Ceylon Electricity Board Union Members Walk Out of Talks

Published:

Trade union members of the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) walked out of a discussion held today (20) at the CEB headquarters between union representatives and the Board’s management.

The unions staged the walkout in protest against the presence of the Director of Restructuring, who was also participating in the talks.

Electricity employees have already launched a “work-to-rule” trade union action, which will continue until tomorrow.

Union representatives further announced that a decision regarding their future course of action is scheduled to be taken on the 24th.
