Conditions on Mineral Transportation During School Hours Revised

Published:

The regulation that previously suspended the transportation of minerals during school days from 6:30 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. and from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. has been amended.

According to reports, this revision was made in response to strong requests from stakeholders in the construction industry, who faced significant challenges due to restrictions imposed during daytime hours. The decision was taken after considering the serious impact these regulations had on construction activities.

Under the revised conditions, mineral transportation during the above time periods may continue near schools and designated student pedestrian crossings, provided that vehicles operate under strict speed limits and are subject to close supervision by the police.

Accordingly, with effect from yesterday (17), the transportation of minerals during school days within the periods from 6:30 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. and from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. must be carried out in compliance with these revised conditions.
