Underworld Leaders “Beko Saman” and “Thambili Lahiru” Produced in Court

Published:

Two alleged underworld gang leaders, known as “Beko Saman” and “Thambili Lahiru,” were produced before the Walasmulla Magistrate’s Court.

The Western Province North Crimes Division had earlier informed the Colombo Magistrate’s Court that the two suspects were being detained and questioned under the Prevention of Terrorism Act (PTA).

They were among five suspects, including notorious gang leader Kehelbaddara Padme, who were arrested recently in Indonesia during a joint special operation carried out by a team of Sri Lanka Police and Jakarta Police.

The suspects are believed to be connected to multiple murders, including the killing of Ganemulla Sanjeewa, as well as large-scale drug trafficking operations.
