The Department of Meteorology has announced that several spells of showers are likely in the Western and Sabaragamuwa Provinces, as well as in the Galle, Matara, Kandy, and Nuwara Eliya districts today (13).
Meanwhile, the Eastern and Uva Provinces may experience showers or thundershowers at several places after around 1.00 p.m.
The public has been advised to take necessary precautions to minimize risks associated with temporary strong winds and lightning that could accompany thundershowers.
