Larry Ellison, co-founder of Oracle, has overtaken Elon Musk to become the world’s richest individual.
The shift comes after Oracle’s share price surged by more than 40%, significantly boosting Ellison’s net worth, a large portion of which is tied to his holdings in the company.
According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Ellison’s wealth rose to 393 billion U.S. dollars (£290bn) as of yesterday morning. This places him ahead of Elon Musk, whose net worth currently stands at 385 billion dollars (£284bn).
