Sri Lanka Clinch T20 Series Victory Against Zimbabwe

Sri Lanka defeated hosts Zimbabwe by eight wickets in the third T20 International played today (7), securing the three-match series 2–1.

Chasing a target of 192, the Sri Lankan batsmen reached the score in just 17.2 overs, losing only two wickets.

Kamindu Mendis played a superb unbeaten knock of 73 runs, while Kusal Janith Perera remained not out on 46. Pathum Nissanka contributed 33 runs and Kusal Mendis added 30.

Earlier, batting first, Zimbabwe posted their highest-ever T20 total against Sri Lanka, scoring 191 for 8 in their allotted 20 overs. Tadiwanashe Marumani top-scored with 51 runs, while captain Sikandar Raza made 28 and Sean Williams added 23.

For Sri Lanka, Dushan Hemantha impressed with the ball, taking 3 wickets, while Dushmantha Chameera claimed 2.

Kamindu Mendis was named Player of the Match for his brilliant batting performance, while Dushmantha Chameera was awarded Player of the Series.
