Former President Ranil Wickremesinghe is required to remain in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Colombo National Hospital for about two more days, according to specialist doctors. This was confirmed by Dr. Rukshan Bellana, Deputy Director of the Colombo National Hospital.
Speaking at a media briefing this morning (27), Dr. Bellana said that since the former President is no longer a detainee, he may also seek treatment from his private doctor if necessary.
He further noted that Mr. Wickremesinghe’s severe dehydration, which required urgent medical attention, is now improving with ongoing treatment.
