Former President Ranil Wickremesinghe is scheduled to appear today (26) at the Colombo Fort Magistrate’s Court in connection with an ongoing case.
Police units have been deployed, and roadblocks established to maintain security in the area.
Meanwhile, reports indicate that a group of individuals has gathered near the court premises to express support for the former President.
As access to the roads leading to the court is restricted, the supporters are reportedly remaining in front of nearby temples in the vicinity.
