The National Transport Commission states that long-distance bus services operated by the Sri Lanka Transport Board and the private sector will operate under a joint schedule from midnight today.
The National Transport Commission stated that the journeys will commence from the private bus yard located on Bastion Road in Colombo at midnight today.
Also, after a four and a half hour drive, the bus driver is given the opportunity to rest at a specific location.
The commission stated that it is also subject to constant regulation as to whether food facilities are provided in a restaurant in a hygienic manner for passengers traveling on the bus.
Accordingly, these combined timetables are in effect on the Colombo – Chilaw, Colombo – Puttalam, Colombo – Anamaduwa, Colombo – Eluwankulam and Colombo – Kalpitiya routes.
Also this will also be implemented on the Negombo – Kalpitiya, Colombo – Mannar, Colombo – Talaimannar, Colombo – Kuliyapitiya, Colombo – Nikaweratiya, Colombo – Kuliyapitiya, Colombo – Anuradhapura, Colombo – Vavuniya, Colombo – Kilinochchi, Colombo – Jaffna, Colombo – Kankesanthurai, Colombo – Karainagar and Colombo – Thunnukkai routes.
