The continuous strike by paramedical professionals in all hospitals under the Western Provincial Council, which began yesterday, continues for the second day today.
The trade unions say that the strike was initiated against the actions of the Western Provincial Health Services Director.
Meanwhile, the Government Medical Officers’ Association says that it will embark on an island-wide strike starting next Monday morning as the solutions provided by the Minister of Health for the issues related to transfers have not yet been implemented.
