Former IGP Deshabandu Tennakoon has been arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department.
This is in relation to the investigations being conducted into the attack on the Galle Face protest.
Meanwhile, he had also filed a bail application to avoid arrest and be released on conditional bail.
It was rejected when summoned before Fort Magistrate Nilupuli Lankapura today (20).
