Former Minister Rajitha Senaratne has submitted a motion to the Colombo Magistrate’s Court.
Requesting an order to temporarily suspend the warrant issued to arrest him in connection with an investigation being conducted by the Bribery Commission.
The motion was taken up before Colombo Chief Magistrate Thanuja Lakmali Jayatunga today (18).
When summoned in open court to confirm the facts, the magistrate stated that the request should be made when the complainant, the Bribery Commission, appears in court regarding the relevant motion.
Accordingly, the court did not issue an order regarding the matter requested by the relevant petitioner.
