A person has died in an accident where a motorcycle collided with a private bus.
Rattota Police stated that a Grama Niladhari, who was on his way to work on a motorcycle in the Kaikawala area of Matale, was killed on the spot after being hit by a private bus.
A 35-year-old resident of Kaikawala, Ratthota, Matale, has died in the accident that occurred at around 8.30 am today (16).
This motorcycle had collided with a private bus travelling from Matale to Kumbaloluwa.
The bus driver has been arrested in connection with the incident and the Rattota Police are conducting investigations.
