The Department of Meteorology, issuing a statement, states that several spells of rain are likely to occur in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and Northwestern provinces and the Nuwara Eliya, Kandy, Galle and Matara districts today (02).
There may be some showers in the Jaffna and Mannar districts.
The statement further states that moderate to strong winds of about (30-40) kmph are likely to occur at times in the western slopes of the central hills, the Northern, North-Central and North-Western provinces, and the Trincomalee and Hambantota districts.
