Railway technicians and railway technician assistants have begun a symbolic strike from 7 am today until 7 am tomorrow, citing an overtime issue.
Due to this, Nalin Dassanayake, Chairman of the Railway Technical Management Officers’ Association, stated that train repair and maintenance work will not be carried out at the Ratmalana, Dematagoda and Maradana railway yards today.
