The Navy says that two fishermen have gone missing after a multi-day fishing vessel capsized off the coast of Tangalle.
The Navy stated that 6 fishermen were traveling there at the time.
Four fishermen have been rescued from the accident and have been admitted to the Tangalle Base Hospital for treatment.
The multi-day fishing vessel ‘Maxim Putha 01’, which had set out from the Tangalle Fishing Harbour for fishing yesterday (28) morning, was involved in an accident in the sea near Tangalle.
It is reported that the two missing fishermen are 39 and 49 years old, residents of Hambantota and Tangalle.
