They won the second and final Test cricket match that concluded today by an innings and 78 runs.
Bangladesh started their second innings on the fourth day of the match today at 115 for 6.
The Sri Lankan bowlers were able to remove the remaining 4 wickets of the Bangladesh team for 18 runs.
Accordingly, they could only score 133 runs in their second innings, all out.
Prabath Jayasuriya took 5 wickets for Sri Lanka, while Dhananjaya de Silva and Tharindu Ratnayake took 2 wickets each.
Bangladesh were bowled out for 247 in their first innings, while Sri Lanka scored 458 in their first innings.
Pathum Nissanka was named the player of the second Test and the player of the Test series.
