Rare triple conjunction to light up Sri Lankan skies tomorrow

Skywatchers in Sri Lanka are in for a rare and delightful cosmic show tomorrow morning (25), as Venus, Saturn, and the Moon align in a spectacular triple conjunction—an astronomical event that will resemble a “smiley face” in the sky.

According to Janaka Adassuriya, Senior Lecturer in Physics at the University of Colombo, the best time to witness this celestial alignment is around 5:30 a.m., just before sunrise.

The event will be visible to the naked eye, given clear skies and a clear view of the eastern horizon.
